In Home Caregiver FirstLight Home Care of Apex Cary, NC 27511 Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geriatrics and various medical settings, ensuring a high level of care for our clients. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve, allowing them to maintain their independence while receiving the necessary support. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary. Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to family members or healthcare professionals. Collaborate with healthcare providers to implement care plans effectively. Qualifications Experience in geriatrics, medical-surgical, or hospital settings preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. Ability to work independently while following established protocols and guidelines. Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care. Certification or training in home health care or related fields is desirable but not mandatory.
