PCA/Caregiver Royal Touch Home Health Zebulon, NC 27597 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will work closely with clients in various settings, including home care, nursing homes, memory care facilities, and group homes. Your contributions will make a significant difference in their daily lives. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support meal preparation and ensure clients receive nutritious meals according to dietary needs. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort for clients. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or caregiver. Offer direct support to individuals with memory care needs or those requiring specialized assistance. Experience Previous experience in caregiving or home care is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with direct support roles in nursing homes or group homes is a plus. Skills in meal preparation and understanding of dietary requirements are beneficial. A background in social work or related fields can enhance your ability to connect with clients effectively. A valid driver’s license is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
