Personal Care Aide Care for Life Home Care 1140 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary, NC 27511 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care or group home settings and possess the skills necessary to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients. This role requires a commitment to upholding resident rights and providing direct support to enhance the quality of life for those we serve. Duties Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing as needed. Help with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes in health status to appropriate personnel. Provide patient observation and support for individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities. Engage clients in social activities, promoting mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Ensure a safe living environment by adhering to health and safety protocols. Support residents in understanding their rights and advocate for their needs. Assist with mobility and transportation as required. Qualifications Previous experience in group home or in senior care settings is preferred. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs assessment is essential. Familiarity with first aid practices is a plus. CPR certification is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with autism. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident rights at all times. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
