The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, particularly within nursing homes or group homes, and possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those with developmental disabilities. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment while delivering personalized care. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Provide meal preparation and cooking assistance, ensuring nutritional needs are met. Support clients with mobility, including lifting and transferring as necessary. Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients, promoting a healthy environment. Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of clients. Qualifications Previous experience in a nursing home or group home setting is preferred. Knowledge of patient care techniques and caregiving best practices is essential. Ability to lift and assist clients safely while adhering to proper lifting techniques. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities. Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others improve their quality of life. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
