Experienced Caregiver Reeves Family Home Goldsboro, NC 27530 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced caretaker to provide one-on-one support for our Mother/Grandmother currently residing in a Willow Creek nursing home. Our loved one is living with dementia and is currently recovering from a broken arm, requiring attentive and compassionate assistance with her daily needs. This role offers a flexible schedule to accommodate the right candidate. Experience with working with aging individuals with dementia is a necessity. We would ask for avalibility to work 3-5 hours at a time if possible. Work times are flexible and would range from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm. Duties Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist with memory care and dementia care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Assist with eating nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs. Maintain cleanliness in living areas, ensuring a hygienic environment for clients. Offer companionship through social interaction and engaging activities. Assist clients with mobility, including lifting or transferring individuals safely. Provide direct support in daily living activities while respecting the dignity of each client. Skills Proven experience in caregiving or related fields such as social work is preferred. Knowledge of memory care techniques and dementia care practices is highly valued. Ability to prepare meals that cater to specific dietary requirements. Competence in monitoring vital signs and understanding basic health indicators. Strong organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the client’s environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Physical capability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility needs. A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others live comfortably and independently. This is a 1:1 based job opportunity.
