1st, 2nd, 3rd Part Time Job Summary The Personal Care Aide for Disabilities plays a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring they lead fulfilling lives while promoting their independence. This position involves working closely with clients in various settings, including group homes and nursing facilities, to assist with daily living activities and personal care. The DSP is responsible for fostering a safe and respectful environment while upholding resident rights and adhering to HIPAA regulations. ReNu Life offers shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide memory care support to individuals experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for residents, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and participating in community activities.
- Monitor client behavior and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff members.
- Uphold resident rights by treating all individuals with dignity and respect.
- Assist with lifting and transferring clients safely as needed.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with people with disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with ADLs and patient care practices is essential.
- Understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist them in mobility as required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Compassionate attitude towards individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
