High School diplomapreferred. Must have the ability to read and write.
Experience/Qualifications:
At least 6 months of caregivingexperience required. Experience must be able to be validatedthrough references. Must be 18 years of age or older. All PersonalCare Aides are accountable to the Home Care Manager of ActionHealth Staffing in regard to rendering client care, or to theemploying facility/company in which you are placed. Personal CareAides are accountable to Action Health Service Manager in regard tostaffing issues.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Must follow client’saide plan task provided on app and or in the home.
Must completedaily task via EVV and or by completing an electronic copy of timesheet.
Encourage clients with self-help.
Ability to provide basicpersonal care such as: bathing, grooming, ambulating, mealpreparation (attention being given to special diet needs),assisting with feeding, oral hygiene, assist with limited andstandby transfers, and ability to utilize certain special equipmenti.e. walkers, wheelchairs, and other personal care task designatedon the plan of care.
Always utilize safety precautions, followuniversal precautions, and follow infection controlprocedures.
Secondary tasks (for the client only) may include, butare not limited to washing clothes and bed linens, cleaning theclient’s living space, ironing, buying groceries and preparingmeals.
Always maintain a clean and safe environment and notifyAction Health Staffing of any potentially dangerous issues.
ContactAction Health Staffing regarding any unusual changes noted in theclient’s condition.
Always respect client’s confidentiality/privacyand Patients’ Bill of Rights.
Always provide quality care toclients. Do not perform any task that is not noted in the client’scare plan; do not practice beyond your scope of credentials. Seekguidance from Actions Home Care Manger, or Actions designated staffmember when unclear on any task.
Always be aware of your client’slimitations. Be aware of their whereabouts while still offeringthem privacy.
Only assist with self-administration of medications -Never administer directly.
Notify Action Health Staffing immediatelyif you suspect any abuse, neglect, unsafe living environments, orviolation of patient privacy/confidentiality.
