Tuition ReimbursementResponsibilities:
Provides direct care and assists residents withactivities of daily living including: bathing, dressing, grooming,eating and toileting to the level necessary to promote health andindependence. Provides assistance with mobility and functionalnursing care as defined by the nursing care plan. This wouldinclude transfers, ambulation, ROM, splint application,positioning, sit stand lifts, Hoyer lifts, and whirlpool. Developsprofessional relationships with a wide range of residents, familymembers, co-workers and supervisors which allows open communicationbased on mutual respect. Assists with assessments and treatmentprocedures as defined by the State Nursing Practice Act andfacility policy to include: TPR’s, BP’s, weights, specimencollection, skin care, O2 stats and O2. Follows Infection Controlguidelines including Standard Precautions, handling of Biohazadousmaterials and isolation techniques. Is familiar with and assistswith care protocols including falls prevention, safety andelopement, behavior management, skin integrity and bowel andbladder management. Provides assistance/oversight with allnutritional and hydration needs. Accepts resident assignment anddirection from the Nurse Leader. Observes and reports to the nurseany change in physical or mental function. Demonstrates awarenessof shared responsibilities for resident care needs and contributesto the general care and order of the resident rooms, belongings andcommon areas. Cooperates with the overall needs of the facility attimes of increased demands. Understands and follows establishedfacility protocols regarding Resident Rights, Abuse reporting,HIPAA and emergency response. Encourages and assists residents inparticipating in social and recreational activities. Accuratelydocuments the level of care provided to include LNA flow sheets andall other data collection as defined by the individual Care Plan.
Qualifications:
Active NH LNA License Prior experience workingdirectly with senior citizens is strongly preferred Desire to makea difference while making a living in an award-winning independentretirement community where your work helps change lives for thebetter every day.
