The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, demonstrating empathy and understanding while assisting clients in their daily activities. This role is crucial in offering temporary relief to primary caregivers, ensuring that clients receive the care and attention they need in a safe environment. Duties Provide personal care assistance to clients, including help with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring the health and safety of clients. Assist with meal preparation, ensuring dietary needs are met and meals are nutritious. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Support clients with home community care, facilitating outings or appointments as required. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Offer specialized care for individuals with dementia or those receiving hospice care, adapting approaches based on individual needs. Provide patient monitoring to ensure overall well-being and report any changes in condition to appropriate personnel. Requirements Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of progressive notes CPR Certification preffered Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information. Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism at all times. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Experience in meal preparation and understanding of dietary restrictions is a plus. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if needed.
