Job Overview A Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) provides essential in-home care and health-related services to individuals who are elderly, chronically ill, disabled, or recovering from surgery or medical conditions. Under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed healthcare professional, HHAs assist with personal care, monitor patient health, and help maintain a safe and supportive living environment. Primary Responsibilities Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Support clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and ambulation.

Monitor and Record Vital Signs:

Check temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as instructed by supervising medical staff.

Medication Reminders:

Assist with self-administration of prescribed medications in accordance with the care plan.

Prepare nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary.

Maintain a clean and safe home environment by performing laundry, changing linens, and tidying living spaces.

Safely assist patients with transfers from beds, chairs, or wheelchairs; use of gait belts or Hoyer lifts as needed.

Observe and report changes in physical or emotional condition to nurses or supervisors promptly.

Provide social interaction and companionship to support mental well-being.

Accompany clients to medical appointments or community activities and assist with shopping and errands as required.

Adhere to individualized healthcare plans and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
