This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, particularly in memory care settings, and possess the skills necessary to support individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Assist clients with mobility and physical activities as needed. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Qualifications Previous experience in patient care or a related field, particularly in memory care or group home settings. Knowledge of CPR and first aid techniques is preferred. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Must be comfortable with heavy transfers. Ability to assist individuals with disabilities effectively and compassionately. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A caring demeanor with a passion for helping others live fulfilling lives. Flexibility to work weekends as a live-in caregiver.
