Job Description
Live-in Caregiver Upscale Home Care Fleischmanns, NY 12430 Overview We are seeking Experienced, compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong understanding of the needs of those requiring assistance, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for our clients. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status. Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy and confidentiality. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying clients to appointments or social activities. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Engage clients in recreational activities that promote physical and mental well-being. Requirements Previous experience in nursing home, assisted living, home health, or long-term care settings is preferred. Knowledge of patient care practices and familiarity with medication administration protocols. Certification in CPR is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to client dietary needs. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
