Job Description
OverviewThe Personal Care Aide/Cook plays a vital role in providing essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. This position involves helping residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being, as well as preparing meals and maintaining state regulated kitchen standards. The ideal candidate will have a compassionate nature and a strong desire to improve the quality of life for those they care for.
DutiesFull medication management.
Help residents with personal hygiene tasks, including minor assist with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Provide companionship and engage in social activities to promote mental well-being.
Monitor and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior to the Case Manager.
Be flexible to cross-train in the kitchen to learn the Cook job.
SkillsExperience as a dietary aide or PCA within a senior living facility is preferred.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents and their families.
Ability to work independently while also being part of a team-oriented environment.
Compassionate, patient, and attentive demeanor towards client needs.

No history of substance or patient abuse – background check & fingerprinting required.
PCA Certification/First Aid CertificationAn approved physical examination signed and dated by your primary care doctor no more than 30 days prior to hire (form is provided at interview).A two-part PPD tuberculosis skin test completed no more than 30 days prior to hire (form is provided at interview).Flexibility; we are open and staffed 24/7/365. This means working weekends and holidays!
