Summary As a Resident Aide at Pickering Manor, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. This position involves providing compassionate care and support to individuals in various stages of their senior living journey. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our residents! Responsibilities Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ well-being. Monitor and record vital signs as required by healthcare protocols. Support residents with mobility and transportation needs within the facility. Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents. Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding any changes in residents’ conditions. Requirements Previous experience in home care or nursing home settings is preferred. Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to resident care. Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable. Ability to assist with lifting and mobility support for residents. Basic first aid certification is a plus but not required. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
