Personal Care Aide 3rd shift part time Just Like Home Personal Care LLC 506 Gallitzin Road, Cresson, PA 16630 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care and a strong understanding of the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or those requiring hospice care. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and caring environment. Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes in health status are communicated to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy at all times. Assist individuals with developmental disabilities or autism by implementing personalized care plans tailored to their unique needs. Support clients in engaging in social and recreational activities to promote their overall well-being. Provide first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Requirements Previous experience in personal care or a related field is preferred, especially in long-term care settings. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality. Familiarity with assisting individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus. Basic first aid certification is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and report any concerns promptly.
