Caregiver Job Description Duties:

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques when necessary.
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry.
• Engage in companionship activities with clients, such as conversation and recreational activities.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.

Requirements:

• Experience in nursing home, hospice care, or home care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of caregiving techniques and best practices.
• Familiarity with resident rights and regulations governing caregiving services.
• Ability to perform first aid procedures in emergency situations.
• Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs.
• Experience in dementia care is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
