caring and dependable individuals to fulfill the role of Elementary Autistic Support Personal Care Assistant (PCA) within the Columbia Borough School District for the 2025/2026 school year. In this role you will be required to work one to one or in a small group setting providing support to all students in the autistic support program at the Elementary level. •Experience with individuals with disabilities, especially lower functioning Autism, and/or with students with physical outbursts, preferred.•Preferred candidate will: Prior knowledge of/willingness to learn how to apply a Positive Behavioral Support Plan as outlined in students IEP. Ability to work in a professional environment with special needs children. Flexibility – as these roles will float between two different classrooms at the elementary level. Ability to provide support with Applied Behavioral Analysis; collect data, fill out progress reports and daily logs. Ability to provide support to the student in various capacities; including but not limited to; personal care assistance, instructional support for previously introduced skills/lessons, progress monitoring and data collection. Strong written communication skills. Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected in the classroom teachers. Use of equipment as directed. Qualifications and Required Documents Pennsylvania Criminal Records check (Act 34) Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance History (Act 151) FBI Criminal History Record (Act 114) Proof of a TB test or chest x-ray that is less than 3 months old Proof of a high school diploma or higher education (copy of transcripts/diploma acceptable) Additional required STS documents will be provided during on boarding process
Anticipated Hours:
8:00 AM-3:15 PM – Applicants MUST be available to work the full day/5 days/week following the student calendar.
