Position:

October Home Care is urgently seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Care Worker (DCW) to support a young adult male client, age 23, living with cerebral palsy in Hazleton, PA . The goal is to provide consistent care and companionship in a home environment, while assisting the client in achieving greater comfort, dignity, and day-to-day stability.

Schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday:

4:00 PM – 9:00

PM Saturday:

7:00 AM – 3:15

PM Key Responsibilities:

Provide assistance with daily living activities, including mobility support, feeding, hygiene, and light housekeeping Offer companionship and engage in recreational activities appropriate for the client’s physical and cognitive abilities Follow an individualized care plan created by our care management team and the client’s family Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment at all times Communicate promptly and clearly with agency staff regarding schedule, concerns, or observations

Requirements:

English-speaking (fluent or highly proficient) Prior experience with cerebral palsy or physical disabilities is preferred but not required Must be reliable , punctual, and committed to consistent care Ability to work independently while following direction Must pass all background checks and provide valid documentation for employment Completion of orientation and training as required by Pennsylvania state regulations and October Home Care policies Why Join October Home Care?
