The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various medical settings, including geriatrics and emergency medicine, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role requires a blend of clinical skills and interpersonal abilities to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of those in our care. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and record vital signs and health changes, reporting any concerns to family members or healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans. Help with mobility assistance, including transferring clients from beds to wheelchairs or assisting with walking. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care and implement treatment plans effectively. Engage clients in social activities and exercises that promote physical and mental well-being. Experience Previous experience in home care or a related healthcare field is preferred. Familiarity with hospital medicine, emergency medicine, inpatient care, medical-surgical settings, clinics, operating rooms (OR), Level II Trauma Centers, geriatrics, pediatric intensive care units (PICU), or teaching hospitals is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A valid driver’s license may be required for transportation purposes.
