Whether in a private home, assisted living, or hospice setting, you’ll play a vital role in improving the comfort, independence, and overall well-being of those in your care. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with day-to-day personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and hygiene. Prepare balanced meals based on individual dietary preferences and needs. Offer mobility support, help with dressing, and provide timely medication reminders. Track and report health indicators like temperature, pulse, or blood pressure, when needed. Offer companionship and emotional reassurance to promote mental wellness. Maintain a tidy, safe living space by following cleanliness standards. Uphold client dignity and rights in every aspect of care. Coordinate with nurses, therapists, or other professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Support individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, with patience and structure. Experience & Qualifications Hands-on experience in caregiving—especially in assisted living, hospice, or home environments—is a strong asset. Basic knowledge of vital sign monitoring and emergency response practices is helpful. Experience working in group homes or with neurodivergent individuals is a plus. Must be an empathetic communicator and a dependable team player. A genuine, caring approach and ability to adapt to each individual’s needs is essential.
