In Home Caregiver | Longs | $13-15/hr | Flexible Schedules! 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Longs, SC Job Overview We are currently hiring a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide in-home assistance to individuals who require support with daily living tasks. This role is centered on offering non-medical care in a respectful and empathetic manner, helping clients maintain their dignity, comfort, and independence. Experience in caregiving environments such as home care, hospice, or assisted living is highly desirable. This position is for locations commutable from Longs. The ability to commute to additional surrounding areas is a plus, and access to reliable transportation or a personal vehicle is necessary.
Responsibilities Include:
Supporting clients with personal care needs like bathing, hygiene routines, and grooming. Preparing meals aligned with the client’s health requirements and preferences. Offering mobility aid, dressing assistance, and timely medication prompts. Observing and reporting basic health metrics (temperature, pulse, etc.) when appropriate. Building meaningful connections and providing emotional support. Keeping the client’s home environment clean and secure. Treating clients with dignity, respecting their privacy, and honoring their autonomy. Communicating with other care professionals to ensure a well-rounded care plan. Providing structured assistance for clients with developmental disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Direct experience in caregiving, especially in a home, assisted living, or end-of-life care setting. Basic understanding of how to monitor health signs and respond in emergencies. Experience in group homes or working with individuals with neurodiverse needs is a plus. A caring personality, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.
