The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for those in our care, particularly for individuals requiring memory care or support following a nursing home stay. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide direct support in meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to client preferences. Implement and follow care plans designed to meet the individual needs of each client. Assist with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary, to help clients move safely around their home or community. Monitor and document changes in clients’ health or behavior, reporting any concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being. Administer first aid as needed and ensure a safe environment for all clients. Qualifications Previous experience as an In Home Caregiver or in a similar role within a nursing home or memory care setting is preferred. Strong skills in assisting individuals with personal care tasks and daily living activities. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively. Certification in first aid is a plus but not required; willingness to obtain certification is encouraged. Excellent communication skills, patience, and a compassionate demeanor are essential for success in this role.
