Personal Care Aide (PCA) | $13-14 | Start Your Caregiver Career Today! 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Socastee, SC Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide in-home care by assisting individuals who need help with their (non-medical) day-to-day living activities. The right candidate will have hands-on experience in home care, assisted living, or hospice environments. This role involves supporting clients with respect, empathy, and a commitment to maintaining their comfort, independence, and quality of life. This application is for Myrtle Beach- Socastee locations. Living in Myrtle Beach- Socastee is preferred and ability to travel to surrounding areas is helpful for the hiring process! Having your own vehicle or reliable transportation is required . Key Responsibilities Assist clients with day-to-day personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and hygiene. Prepare balanced meals based on individual dietary preferences and needs. Offer mobility support, help with dressing, and provide timely medication reminders. Track and report health indicators like temperature, pulse, or blood pressure, when needed. Offer companionship and emotional reassurance to promote mental wellness. Maintain a tidy, safe living space by following cleanliness standards. Uphold client dignity and rights in every aspect of care. Coordinate with nurses, therapists, or other professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Support individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, with patience and structure. Experience & Qualifications Hands-on experience in caregiving—especially in assisted living, hospice, or home environments—is a strong asset. Basic knowledge of vital sign monitoring and emergency response practices is helpful. Experience working in group homes or with neurodivergent individuals is a plus. Must be an empathetic communicator and a dependable team player. A genuine, caring approach and ability to adapt to each individual’s needs is essential.
