3rd Shift PCA/Caregiver | Friday-Sunday Nights 24/7 Above & Beyond Homecare Fort Mill, SC 29715 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in memory care, nursing home environments, or direct support roles, and will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This position requires a strong sense of empathy, patience, and the ability to work effectively with people with disabilities. Duties Provide support in meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Assist with full body bathing and personal hygiene Perform in-bed dressing and undressing Turn and reposition client every 2 hours to prevent bedsores Change linens and keep bed area clean and sanitary when needed Provide incontinence care and change adult briefs as needed Monitor skin condition and report any changes or concern Offer companionship and emotional support Assist with medication reminders Keep accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in condition Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment Qualifications Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols is beneficial. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for this role. Familiarity with meal preparation and medication administration is highly valued. Must have experience caring for bed-bound individuals Able to assist with dressing, bathing, changing, and personal hygiene Physically able to reposition, lift, or transfer client as needed Compassionate, dependable, and patient Must be comfortable working overnight (3rd shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Previous caregiving or home health aide experience preferred Must pass background check and have reliable transportation Join our team as a Personal Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve!
