The client has a small, friendly dog , so applicants must be comfortable with and enjoy being around pets. You will be responsible for providing safety supervision, personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily routines. This is an ideal position for someone patient, dependable, and experienced in dementia care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide safety monitoring and redirection for a client with dementia Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care) Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed Support mobility and transfers Light housekeeping and laundry Medication reminders and documentation Companionship and emotional support Maintain a calm, structured, and familiar environment
Requirements:
At least 3 year of experience working with seniors with dementia Must love dogs and be comfortable caring for a pet Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor Reliable transportation CNA certification or HHA preferred but not required Experience with 24-hour care or live-in shifts is a plus
