Rocky Point Drive, Columbia, SC 29212 Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals with varying needs, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, and dementia. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and support in their daily activities. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and engaging environment. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions. Assist with mobility and physical activities, including lifting clients when necessary. Support clients in social interactions and community engagement activities. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care. Experience Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Experience in nursing homes or hospice care settings is a plus. Familiarity with CPR techniques is beneficial. Skills in meal preparation and cooking are advantageous. A background in social work can enhance the caregiving experience.
