The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care, memory care, and possess strong patient observation skills. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents while ensuring their safety and well-being. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and personal development. Observe and document residents’ physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, ensuring compliance with best practices in patient care. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Support residents in developing life skills that foster independence and improve their quality of life. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support for residents. Perform CPR and other emergency procedures as necessary to ensure resident safety. Qualifications Previous experience working with individuals with geriatrics is preferred. Background in nursing or related fields is a plus. Strong patient observation skills with the ability to identify changes in behavior or health status. Familiarity with group home environments and long-term care practices is advantageous. Certification in CPR is required; additional training in patient care is beneficial. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members. A compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in helping others achieve their fullest potential is crucial for success in this role.
