The PCA will be responsible for assisting patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and offering companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Helping clients with personal hygiene, toileting/incontinence care and supporting mobility and transfers Prepare nutritious meals, medication reminders and light housekeeping tasks based on clients’ needs Provide social interaction and emotional support to clients, as well as assisting with transportation to medical appointments, shopping and other errands Observing and documenting any changes in the client’s physical or emotional health Identifying any potential safety hazards in the home and addressing them by ensuring the client is always comfortable and safe. Follow care plans and protocols as directed by healthcare professionals Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, or in a similar caregiving role (preferred but not required) Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and assist with patient mobility needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members Exceptional customer service skills with ability to handle multiple tasks, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
