The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong understanding of the importance of maintaining dignity and respect for those they serve. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor and document patients’ health status, including vital signs and any changes in condition. Administer first aid as needed and respond to emergencies according to established protocols. Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety during movement. Support clients in memory care activities, promoting cognitive engagement. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each client. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to hospice care, group home settings, and home care practices. Qualifications Previous experience in patient care or as a Personal Care Assistant is preferred. Knowledge of first aid techniques and patient monitoring practices is essential. Familiarity with hospice care principles and memory care strategies is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various settings such as group homes or private residences.
