Personal Care Aide (PCA) Gracefully Diverse In Home Care Sumter, SC 29150 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for caregiving and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role involves working closely with clients in their homes or community settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Help with meal preparation and nutrition management. Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety. Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Implement behavior management techniques as needed. Support clients with social activities and community engagement. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving, home community care, or senior care is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus. Familiarity with first aid procedures is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and their families. Ability to work independently while adhering to established care plans and systems. A background in social work or related fields is advantageous but not required.
