PCA/Caregiver Margaret’s Home Health Rock Hill, SC 29730 Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including retirement homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes. As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with special needs by assisting them with daily activities and promoting their independence. Your empathetic nature and ability to manage behaviors will be key in delivering personalized care. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Support clients with mobility and transportation needs; may include driving clients to appointments or social events. Implement behavior management techniques as needed to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behavior to the supervising staff. Assist with medication reminders and ensure clients follow their prescribed care plans. Foster a positive relationship with clients while respecting their privacy and dignity. Requirements Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, or group home settings is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of dementia care principles is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently. Familiarity with social work principles or systems that support client care is beneficial. Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a valid driver’s license for transportation duties.
