As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a strong commitment to caregiving, patience, and the ability to work effectively with individuals who may have unique needs. Duties Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide support with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Help clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to appropriate personnel. Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being. Uphold resident rights by ensuring dignity, privacy, and respect in all interactions. Assist with long-term care needs, providing consistent support tailored to individual client requirements. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times. Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals as needed. Requirements Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with other disabilities is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Knowledge of senior care practices and resident rights is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and dietary considerations for various health conditions.
