The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and those with disabilities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety. This role is vital in delivering personalized care within personal care homes. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental well-being. Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to the appropriate personnel. Support individuals with dementia care by using effective communication techniques and maintaining a calm environment. Ensure resident rights are respected and upheld at all times. Assist with mobility and physical support, including transferring residents safely from beds to wheelchairs or other seating areas. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by following proper hygiene protocols and safety guidelines. Document care provided accurately in compliance with company policies. Qualifications Previous experience in nursing homes or senior care settings is preferred One year of experience in a home care setting is required Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. Familiarity with dementia care practices is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to assisting others. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Understanding of resident rights and commitment to providing respectful care. Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and assisting residents as needed.
