We are hiring for:
Residential Unit Clerk

Monitor on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Provides personal care and services to persons with disabilities in residential homes. Completes assessments and relies on direction and supervision to accomplish tasks.

Pay:

$17 an hour
Sign on bonus: $1,000

Hours:

4 PM to 12 AM and 12 AM to 8 AM as scheduled by manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Report all changes in the supported individual’s condition to the RN immediately.
Report all accidents and incidents observed to the RN immediately.
Report injuries of an unknown source, including skin tears and bruises. Report defective equipment to the RN.
Report all grievances and complaints made by the supported individual to the RN.
Report all allegations of supported individual abuse and/or misappropriate use of people supported property.
Weigh and measure people supported as instructed.
Measure and record temperatures, blood pressure, pulse, and respirations (TPRs), as instructed.
Assist people supported with dressing/undressing, as necessary.
Assist people supported with nail care (i.e., clipping, trimming and cleaning the finger/toenails). (

Note:

Does not include diabetic residents).
Assist people supported with bowel and bladder functions (i.e., takes to bathroom, offers bedpan/urinal, portable commode, etc.) and maintain toileting program as identified in the care plan.
Administer medications and feedings via a gastrostomy tube per physicians orders and as delegated by the licensed nurses.
Monitor oxygen administration and report findings to licensed nurses.
Perform colostomy care.
Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting people supported into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
Assist in transporting people supported to/from appointments, activity, and social programs and for out of center appointments, etc., as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma or equivalent
Flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed
Must be at least 18 years of age

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly required to lift 20 lbs.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must be able to pull a minimum of 25 lbs.
Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Required to regularly stand and walk.
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing, and lifting.
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
Must be able to talk and hear.
