As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of direct support activities, ensuring that residents feel safe, respected, and valued while promoting their independence. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ well-being. Monitor and document vital signs as required, ensuring any changes are reported to the appropriate personnel. Support residents with dementia care, utilizing effective behavior management techniques to ensure their comfort and safety. Uphold resident rights by promoting dignity and respect in all interactions. Drive residents to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring safe transportation. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to create personalized care plans that meet individual needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by following established health and safety protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in senior care or direct support roles is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and dementia care practices is a plus. Ability to assist individuals with developmental disabilities while respecting their rights and preferences. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various settings. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
