The ideal candidate will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home community care environments. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with dementia or other health challenges. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Develop and follow personalized care plans tailored to each client’s needs. Monitor and document vital signs and report any changes in health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote independence. Ensure a safe living environment by adhering to health and safety protocols. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction. Collaborate with family members and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving, particularly in nursing homes or assisted living settings is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable. Ability to prepare nutritious meals and cater to dietary restrictions. Familiarity with developing care plans that address individual client needs. Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
