Job Description
Caregiver Consumer Direct Home Care Sweetwater, TN 37874 In need of someone to provide part-time supportive care for my daughter with Down Syndrome. Responsibilities include assistance with personal care and daily living activities such as helping with chores, errands, meal assistance, and community integration. Hours are Mon-Fri 10a-2p with an occasional evening or weekend possible. Hours may increase in the near future. Madie is 22 and lives at home with her parents and teenage siblings. She wants to be treated as an adult and does not liked to be bossed. She uses her iPad for entertainment and communication. Personal care
- Make sure she chooses weather and occasion appropriate clothes
- Bath e/o day (plug stopper, turn on water, wash hair, pump soap onto loofah, get towel, rinse hair)
- Brush and fix hair
- Brush teeth
- Apply chapstick (hydrocortisone 2x’s/wk) Activities
- Meal preparation
- Medication reminders
- Clean room
- Shopping, grocery, pharmacy
- Appointments (dentist, optometrist)
- SIC (nails e 2 wks, hair e 2 months)
- Events, shows
- Restaurants
- Exercise (walk)
- City pool or splash pad
- Dance
- Uno
Softball Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Must be able to drive Madie around
- You will be required to complete Certification in CPR and First Aid from a specific list of agencies
- Background check will be performed
