We are currently hiring Residential Specialists – Personal Assistants (PAs) to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
Position Overview:
As a Personal Assistant (PA) , you will work one-on-one with individuals to support their daily living needs, enhance their skills, and promote community involvement. PAs play a vital role in helping participants live meaningful and independent lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and well-being of participants during service hours. Assist with personal care, daily living activities, and medication administration (following agency policies). Implement Individual Support Plans (ISP) and document participant progress. Support participants during community outings, helping them engage meaningfully with their environment. Coordinate and facilitate activities based on participants’ interests and goals. Communicate effectively with participants, families, and team members. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and Circle of Support (COS) meetings as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Valid Driver’s License (Tennessee, Kentucky, or Alabama). Ability to read and follow directions accurately. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Clear background check and driving record. Must complete required DDA and PDI training.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, and occasional kneeling.
