The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires a nurturing personality and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each client, particularly those with conditions such as dementia or autism. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Monitor patient health and report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Administer first aid and CPR when required. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Support clients with medication management as directed by healthcare providers. Foster a positive relationship with clients while respecting their privacy and dignity. Requirements Proven experience in assisted living or home community care is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care techniques and experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required. Ability to perform patient monitoring effectively. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Physical capability to handle heavy lifting as needed for client support. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality care. Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of clients.
