As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in group homes or community settings. Your responsibilities will include providing patient care, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring that residents’ rights are respected while implementing individualized care plans. Duties Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure as needed. Assist with heavy lifting and mobility support for residents who require physical assistance. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all aspects of resident care are addressed. Support residents with daily activities and engage them in social interactions to promote mental well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety regulations. Respect resident rights and confidentiality at all times while fostering a supportive atmosphere. Provide dementia care when necessary, utilizing specialized techniques to ensure comfort and safety for those affected. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient monitoring and care. Qualifications Previous experience in patient care or working in a group home setting is preferred. Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to uphold them in daily interactions. Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs. Experience in dementia care is a plus, with an understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals with cognitive impairments. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of the residents.
