In Home Caregiver Ava’s Home Care Services Rutland County, VT Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. As one of Ava’s Caregivers you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our client’s while maintaining Ava’s vision and showing integrity. Our priority is keeping our client’s safe and comfortable in their own homes or assisting them while they are temporarily away from home, in a facility. We partner with several community agencies and their programs to ensure our clients are safe and comfortable in their homes.

Responsibilities:

Assist with daily living activities, including standby assist with personal care and hygiene, feeding, and toileting. Monitor vital signs and document medical information accurately. Support senior care by providing emotional support, companionship, and recreational activities. Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and tidy environment. Run errands and retrieve groceries. Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleaning up after meals. Maintain a safe environment. Utilize medical documentation systems to track resident care. Collaborate with the healthcare team. Embody the core meaning of integrity and the vision and mission statements of Ava’s Home Care Services.

Experience:

We are looking for Caregivers/Homemakers/PCA’s/HHA’s/LNA’s who have experience with a background in healthcare, home care, housekeeping, and/or caregiving. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, be 18 year of age or older, pass a background and driving screening, pass a drug screening, pass a physical, and have a reliable vehicle. Prior experience with medical documentation and/or a medical certification or license is a plus.

Skills:

Experience in Caregiving, Senior Care, Home Care, PCA, HHA, LNA, Homemaking, Housekeeping. Knowledge of vital signs and medical documentation systems. Ability to stand on feet, bend, and be active throughout shift. Familiarity with cleaning and maintaining a clean environment. Certification in CPR not mandatory but a plus Experience working in a healthcare environment. Ava’s Home Care Services is looking for compassionate caregivers for several shifts: overnights, evenings, days, weekends, PRN. Hiring for the following areas Rutland, Brandon, North Clarendon, Wallingford, East Wallingford, Belmont, West Rutland and , Castleton, Rutland Town, Mendon, Pittsford, and Proctor etc. We have referrals that come in often, so this area is subject to change based on needs. We do require experience, a clean background check as well as registry and driving record. This is a must due to the nature of the job. Three professional references. As well as a drug and physical screening. We service different levels of care in our communities. A portion of these shifts require a background in healthcare (no license required but history of or current license will be favored). Other shifts are geared towards homemaking skills and those do not require a background in healthcare, though helpful. Ideal candidate should be a good communicator, able to use basic technology, able to stand/bend, familiar with and able to assist with ADL’s. We are looking for a caregiver that is personable, positive, professional, supportive, passionate about caregiving, and understands healthy boundaries. Wages are competitive. Benefits available.
