    ReEntry 2 Workforce Program is a program that will offer pre/post and follow up services to 150 individuals that are currently incarcerated and will be released between 20-270 days from the Mobile County Jail.

These services will provide pathways to life-changing careers and opportunities through comprehensive assessments, intensive personal support, and self-empowerment.
The primary goal is to ensure those that are enrolled into the program become employed and earn substantial wages and to reduce recidivism.
ReEntry 2 Workforce is a grant that ends December 31, 2027

Position Summary:

Case Manager will report to the R2W Project Director.
Provide assessments, pre/post services, follow up services and comprehensive case management services to R2W participants. Case Manager will be assigned to the same R2W participants for the duration of the grant as they navigate their career pathway by identifying strengths and challenges to achieving goals. Work closely with other program staff to monitor progress, and coordinate referral support. This position will also work with external partners (such as literacy, behavioral health and housing providers) to ensure that services are coordinated, and participants are able to fully engage in career pathway services.
The Case Manager will:

  • Provide case management services including but not limited to Individual Employment Plan (IEP) development, referral for supportive services, outreach and connection to community resources to address barriers to employment and life management challenges
    Assist with the facilitation of orientations, individual or group
    Conduct individual assessments
    Develop and maintain positive relationships with others, including training partners, program participants, probation/parole officers and other collaborating partner staff
    Provide information and referral to community resources to help participants address their employment and life management barriers that could affect ability to achieve career goal
    Assess participants training readiness and make recommendations documenting any concerns or potential barriers
    Work closely with other team members, communicating regularly, attending training and team meetings, etc.

Work with the Community Colleges to enroll participants into occupational training, in-service training, Adult Education training, etc.
Work with employers in the community to encourage hiring R2W participants
Provide follow up case management for participants at specified intervals to assist in the continued prevention and elimination of barriers to successful employment/advancement
Enter data and case management notes into the appropriate data system
Complete required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
Provide ongoing support and mentorship to the R2W participants
Complies with any applicable guidelines and policies set forth by Southwest Alabama Partnership for Training and Employment (SWAPTE)
