This candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload by working closely with attorneys, clients, and medical providers to ensure cases progress efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities include:
Manage personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial preparation Assist senior attorney in initial discussions with potential clients Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and attorneys to obtain necessary documentation and case updates Maintain organized case files and ensure timely completion of case-related tasks Assist attorney in preparation of legal documents, including demand letters, medical summaries, and settlement proposals Assist attorney in preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials Assist senior attorney in preparation for settlement conference discussions and/or mediations and trial preparations with clients Monitor medical treatment progress and gather medical records and bills Assistant senior attorney in negotiating settlements with insurance adjusters as needed Provide excellent client service by keeping clients informed of case developments Ensure compliance with all legal procedures and firm protocols
Qualifications:
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in or willingness to learn case management software Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Prior experience in personal injury law is preferred but not required Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times
