Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Specialist/ Interventionist/ BCBA to join our team. As a Behavioral Specialist/Interventionist, you shall serve as the resource to reduce ISS and OSS (time spent with the behaviorist is an alternative to classroom removal ISS/OSS.
Duties:
Risk Assessment (suicide/ homicide screenings) Groups (social skills, conflict resolution) DCF interviewing and calling Attendance case management (weekly) Incentives and Interventions Processing referrals with students (low level offenses) Individual behavior plans Teacher Consultant toward behaviors Case Management intervention to reduce suspensions, Check-in and check-out (Special Ed. 504)
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in special education, elementary or secondary education, counseling, psychology, sociology, or social work is preferred.
Experience:
Two years experience working with students with demonstrated needs for emotional and behavioral supports • BCBA certification is a plus. !
