Housing Case Manager – Supportive Services for Veteran Families
Job Type:
Full-Time / Hybrid Position Bachelor’s Degree Required We are looking for a case manager for our Veteran housing program to join our team. A successful candidate will have case management or similar experience, experience in trauma- informed awareness, organization skills and de-escalation techniques. You will be responsible for providing client-centered support, crisis intervention and ensuring the coordination of services. This includes working directly with veterans and their families to assess needs, develop care and housing stability plans, advocate on behalf of the veteran, in-home visits, maintain relationships with the Veteran Administration (VA), the Continuum of Care, Housing Authority and other partners. Connect veteran with community resources. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and working collaboratively with a team. Local travel required to surrounding counties.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related field (Master’s preferred), previous experience in case management, social work or related field, strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as a team, must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be able to pass a level 2 background screening and drug screening.
Benefits:
Full time position, flexible hours between 8am and 6pm. Required to work a minimum of 37.5 hours a week. Hybrid work schedule, health insurance available, retirement 403B offered.
