Description:
The individual in this position works in conjunction with the Project Prepare Program staff to maintain a safe and secure environment, physically and emotionally, for older youth and young adults in the Project Prepare program who reside at the program’s Independent Living Village (ILV). Duties include supervision of residents at ILV to ensure safety and to facilitate positive activities during the evening such as tutoring, life skills instruction, and recreational activities. On-going encouragement and support for youth. Acts as positive adult role model and is instrumental at the provision of “situational” life skills training events. Work schedule flexibility is required for late afternoon, evening and weekend availability. The position reports to the Program Director. Work collaboratively with the Program Director and Case Managers Coordinate the scheduling of youth activities and groups to meet program requirements. Works collaboratively with Case Managers to best meet the needs of youth Maintains records of visitations and provides reports to CM’s and PD Document all contacts with the Project Prepare clients/youth Understand and enforce the operating guidelines of the Project Prepare program Inspect and maintain a safe environment Maintains an environment of respect and dignity for all constituents Follow up on referrals as needed Attend job related trainings, meetings, events and participate in special projects as assigned. Immediately reports any real or suspected self harm, suicidal or homicidal ideations to Program Director and/or proper authorities. Develop weekly activity, group and event calendar specific to evening/weekend hours Consistently maintains client confidentiality. Models appropriate and professional behavior (i.e. dress, habits, personality, tact, etc.). Complete other duties as assigned. Interact with Family members, Caregivers and Community partners. Maintain and ensure clients complete Client Satisfaction Survey Secure the facility after every shift to ensure the safety of ILV and it’s tenants.
