Weekend Front Desk Support 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 1015 Commerce Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32960 The Source, a Christian nonprofit ministry serving the working poor and homeless is looking for a Front Desk Security and Support Staff for our Drop In Center. Some of the responsibilities are below: Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to: On arrival and departure inspects the front of the building, entryways, restrooms and lobby and reports any deficiencies to the manager in writing or verbally. Answer phones promptly and in a friendly manner – we should hear your smile through the phone! The front desk should never be unattended. Ensure that clients “sign-in” daily on the attendance sheet . Engage with clients and assess their needs Check the shower to see if the client left it in clean condition Work with volunteers daily and assist them in the course of their duties. If clients request to see a case manager, please ask them the nature of their request as you may be able to help them with simple requests. If you determine that they still need to see a case manager, be sure that that they have signed in on the case manager sign in sheet. Provide intake paperwork for new clients to fill out and return. Ensure that the form is complete and signed in the appropriate areas. Qualify new clients for services (when they come in) Sign in clients for shower services and mark off that they have done their shower. Ensure that the daily shower log is completed. Performs Pickups as needed Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum of one-year experience working in a social service , service industry, and security. Customer service oriented Passionate interest/commitment to the mission of The Source An ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Must have good communication skills & telephone manners A desire to work compassionately and empathize with homeless and at-risk individuals Ability to work with respect and grace in crisis situations Ability to act as an ambassador to the organization and communicate the organization’s mission in the community and in Vero Beach Sensitivity to issues facing people with disabilities and/or substance abuse problems

Are you able to pass a background check and drug test if required? This job is for Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 1pm. However, are you currently available during the weekday to interview and to train? Or are you only available on the weekends to interview and train?
