Position Details:
Full Time Department – Disaster Case Manager Serve as the primary point of contact for clients. Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure their needs are met throughout the recovery process.
Reports to:
Senior Project Manager Located in: Polk County, FL Remote with some on-site required, Travel (25% – 50%) Monday through Friday; 8:30AM – 5:00
PM Annual Compensation:
$52,000
Responsibilities:
Works closely with the Senior Project Manager, Construction Manager and Site Supervisor to address the clients’ construction related needs in a coordinated and collaborative manner. Screen and verify individual client needs, ensuring the client meets the qualification for Inspiritus assistance. Prioritize client cases. Collect all necessary client documents according to the organization’s policy and procedures. Coordinates and schedules necessary assessments or home visits in collaboration with the Construction Manager, as needed. Works closely with Long-Term Recovery Groups (LTRG) on coordination of cases, if applicable. Help to minimize the risk of duplication of benefits which may pose barriers for recovery, and maintain the database being used for this purpose. Empowers the client to effectively access the resources available in accordance with the sequence of assistance for disaster recovery. Advocates for the client and refers outside resources to the client as needed.
Qualifications:
One year of experience working with disaster survivors is preferred but not required.
