Here’s what the job involves : The Developmental Consultant will: Provide Screening and Assessment services for children through age five (5) and/or their families utilizing approved assessment tools. Analyze and interpret screening and assessment data; identifies and recommends appropriate services to system participants. Identify risk, protective factors, and client needs through designated assessments and/or second level screening tools. Conduct visits with families in their homes or other designated locations within the community. Ensure flexibility and accessibility to families by accommodating appointments after school, in the evenings and/or on the weekends when families may be more available. Record and reports appointments, referrals, home visits, and all other work related Healthy Beginnings Program activities to supervisor on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services (preferably in a field such as social work, developmental psychology, and/or early childhood education). Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in child welfare, primary prevention services, child development or related field. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Flexible with evening availability twice a week and weekend availability twice a month to accommodate client schedules. Valid Florida’s driver’s license is required.
