Education and Experience:

4 years’ work experience providing related case management services to either the adult or child population Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, •Related fields include Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Special Education, Health Education, or a Human Services field in which major coursework includes the study of human behavior and development 2 years of Successful Supervisory experience required.

Additional requirements:

Complete the application for supervisor certification through the Florida Certification Board within 6 months of hire and become a Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager Supervisor (CBHCMS) through Florida Certification Board Complete the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) approved targeted case management training within 3 months of hire. 50 hours of on-the-job supervision of performance of core competencies as outlined in the AHCA approved training Providing services both in-agency and in the community as required. Schedule may be irregular as emergencies arise. Must be 21 years of age. Negative Drug Screening prior to hire and throughout employment. Clear Criminal Background Check throughout employment with Suncoast Center and local checks prior to hire and annually along with DCF Level II prior to hire and as required by DCF, and Must have valid Florida Driver’s License Motor Vehicle checks prior to hire and annually with acceptable driving record maintained throughout employment along with reliable vehicle, valid registration, and valid vehicle insurance. (must be in compliance with Florida Laws and Administrative Codes with fingerprinting and determined to be of good moral character).

Computer Literate Job Duties:

Lead day to day operations of all aspects of the Care Coordination department including supervision and training of employees. Ensures all standards are met for Medicaid Targeted Case Management, peer recovery services, and the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. Provides outreach and presentations internally and in the community for programs supervised. Acts as liaison to other the departments within Suncoast Center. Trains staff for proper completion of required forms. Assures a high level of excellent customer service and addresses any concerns quickly and satisfactorily. Participate in/or lead Suncoast Center committees, group supervision, and meetings as needed. Follows Florida Statutes and Florida Administrative Codes, Case Management Regional Operating Policy and Florida Medicaid Manual for case management services. Maintains active certification as a Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager Supervisor through the Florida Certification Board. Use and teaches appropriate crisis intervention skills to anticipate and prevent crises where possible. Provides and oversees services to assure that the principles of recovery and every client is treated as a partner in a process to better their lives. Assures treatment plans/reviews, progress notes and other documentation are within agency guidelines. Provide management oversight during hours of operation including evenings. Monitor revenue and expense reports of programs, and institutes corrective action to ensure compliance with budgetary goals. Monitor the productivity of the programs and individual staff on an ongoing basis. Makes recommendations and implements processes to improve productivity as needed. Regularly utilizes reports in the EMR to assess program and staff effectiveness. Core Competencies The ability to function and operate as a team player, showing dignity and respect for all.
